Pray for Little Lizzie Lou

Our precious little 3 year old niece Lizzie was bitten by a rattlesnake today. We were down in Tucson visiting family at my aunt's house and the kids were outside playing. It was horrifying. Lizzie is in the ICU and from what we hear being a real trooper. She's so little and fragile and I think of how scared I would be if that were my little McKay in there suffering through this. Please keep her in your prayers.

How scary! Keep us informed! Also, I have Luc's bottle. Let me know if you're in the area again soon! :) Erin

We played with rattlesnakes all the time when we were kids but were lucky enough to never get bitten! YIKES!! She will pull thru, kids retaliate so quickly!

Thanks for all of your support. She is doing ok. Not great but better than yesterday. She has had several doses of antivenom and the swelling has seemed to slow but has not completely stopped which is what we are waiting for. The toxicologist saw her yesterday afternoon and said she looks great and is doing really well considering. Her circulation is good which is very good news. All I know today is that Bj (my brother, her dad) said that she had a better night last night. We continue to pray that each day she is a little better and closer to going home. Thanks for your prayers and support.

Lizzie came home from the hospital and is doing really well. Thanks so much for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. If you want to see pics of the whole ordeal (minus the actual bite) go to the Sarah and Bj's blog listed on my favorite blogs.

Thanks Denise. I'm blessed to have such a great family that has been praying for our family. She is doing even better today...now we only have occupational therapy and blood work for the next couple weeks. That's a lot better than staying in the PICU.

Sorry we ruined your shower. What a bummer!
